This post announces the product launch of Unmold.dev, a developer-friendly and CLI-first registry for OpenTofu.

Today we’re opening up Unmold.dev — a CLI-first module registry for OpenTofu and Terraform — now in public beta.

Unmold is an early attempt at a simpler, more flexible way to publish and manage modules. Instead of relying on UI-driven workflows and hidden processes, it’s designed to work directly from your CLI and CI pipelines, so it can fit naturally into how you already build and ship infrastructure.

We’ve found that existing solutions can feel restrictive when trying to automate or customize workflows. Unmold is an exploration of a more open, low-level approach — giving you building blocks rather than prescribing a system.
